On Friday, July 27th, Phoenix Police Officer George Cortez Jr. was shot to death while attempting to arrest two people that were attempting to cash a forged check at Southwest Check Cashing near 83rd Ave and Encanto Blvd.
Slain Officer Cortez is survived by his wife Tiffany and two sons Kotlan 4 (right) and Gunner 2.
On Sunday, Region One members Wally, Carlos, Fraudman and Ponch presented a check from the Choirboy’s Fallen Officer fund to the family.
The Choirboys extend condolances to George’s family and to all members of the Phoenix Police Department.
